The Control Line Navy Carrier events started on Tuesday morning. The weather, especially the wind, can play a factor in the outcome the events. This year, the winds were light and variable and from the same direction all day.
Two events were flown today, Electric Profile, and Internal Combustion-Powered Profile Carrier. The day started with a lottery drawing to determine the flight order. Contestants had to sign up to be in the lottery. Then the rest of the day the contestants sign up when they are ready to fly.
Wednesday, there will be four different classes of Carrier flown. There will be Class I and II Internal Combustion Carrier events and Class I and II Electric Carrier events flown.
