Speed Limit Combat started Tuesday. We had really nice weather. It was great to fly in. Congratulations to Carlos Aloise. He’s a long-time speed flyer that has recently started combat. This was his first time to place in a combat event at the Nats. Bill Maywald took the prestigious honor of first place, followed by Bob Mears. Carlos took third place with very impressive flying. Sam Londke took the Top Senior award.
Many thanks to Dave Edwards for being a fantastic event director. He and his team: Chris Gay, Matt Brown, Jerry Sabin, and the supposedly retired Arlene Mears did an outstanding job as judges. All went smoothly with no arguments or bad apples.
