The “Panda” Dan Hiller in the final flight to his Advanced victory.
By Tim DiPeri
The final day of the event began early as usual and we were all ready to put in a good day of flying. The pilots, judges, and contest director, as well as all of the folks helping support ARCCHS (www.arcchs.org) to promote and offer the 2026 US Helicopter Nats! ARCCHS is one of the two dedicated model helicopter special interest groups. Without this group’s dedication, the competition portion of model helicopters would not be.

The last day is a bit “bittersweet.” This final day of competition gave everyone “one more time for greatness,” and all competitors tried their best. It was a great way to finish the event.
We have completed many, many flights throughout all of the schedules of competitions and have a new USA world team (for 2027) for F3C and F3N. Overall it has been a very successful few days.
