Patrick Hempel, of Rochwall TX, has his two Cox-powered Class I racers ready to rock (after some earlier frustration).

Good morning, race fans! With a few days of prior rainfall, it looks like the freshly paved and marked Control Line (CL) Racing circles are squeaky clean and just asking to be broken in. Racing Director Bill Bishop was seen putting on the finishing touches with lovely metal line-marking signs in the pit area.
All looks ready for “the big show." Sunday’s CL Racing events will start at 9 a.m. with Class I Open Mouse Race, followed by Open Goodyear Racing and PDQ Flying Clown Race in the afternoon. As is par for Open Mouse Race, several fliers from Texas found out that their previously nice-running engines were not running so nice today on the field. This gave them time to make the appropriate tuning changes so that they should all be ready and raring to go tomorrow.
