" Bring on the clowns, I say." was heard early this morning over the PA. Under good weather with light winds, the three PDQ Flying Clown race teams headed off to the flying circle.

Welcome back race fans! Texas Quickee Rat racing started today under excellent weather conditions. The first heat saw Mike Greb winning with an excellent 3:16 versus Chuck Barnes Sr. (3:51). In the second heat, Mike slowed to 3:19 while Barnes improved to post a 3:44.

Welcome back Control Line Racing fans. This morning started out in perfect weather with AMA event 312 Slow Rat racing. We had four teams this year which made for two heats.

AMA Class I Mouse Race is arguably the simplest of all the book racing events. Only reed-valve .049 engines are allowed and all contestants used versions of the Cox Black Widow .049. There are no engine restrictions.

Good morning, Control Line (CL) Racing fans!
Day two of official CL Racing again greeted the racers with perfect weather.

Good morning, race fans! With a few days of prior rainfall, it looks like the freshly paved and marked Control Line (CL) Racing circles are squeaky clean and just asking to be broken in.

Wednesday turned out to be a much more successful race day than the previous two. Quickie Rat had six Open entries and two Juniors. Everyone scored a presentable race time. FAI racing requires fixed pilot and pitman combinations, whereas in AMA racing, the entry is based solely on who enters the model.

Race day started off with the two juniors, Tristan and Mason Mayer, flying qualifying heats with their AMA Goodyear models. They were basically flying their Sport Goodyear models on the longer 60-foot lines, so the race times are quite presentable for the equipment that they used. Their races were uneventful, Open fliers take note.
