It wouldn’t be a Nats or Muncie without some rain, and today didn’t disappoint. The rain stopped around noon and the test-flying soon began. Mike Condon and his crew organized and set up our first event, 424. 25 pilots entered and they were separated between Novice and Expert. An Expert pilot is one that is either entered into AMA 422 or posts a time faster than a 1:26.
The racing was very tight today and several Novices moved up to Expert. From the beginning, it was pretty clear that the boys from Canada were going to be tough to beat. After eight rounds of racing, the team of Roy Andrassy and Cory Paine from Canada cruised into first place and fastest time!
