We had outstanding weather for combat in Muncie. There were lots of great matches today. Dave Edwards, Arlene Mears, Matt Brown, Jerry Sabin, Arnie Delgado, Fred Quezada, and Chris Gay all did an excellent job of officiating our combat events. They judged all of the USA Team Trial event the last three days and continued on through the Nats for the last couple of days. Furthermore, they will stick it out until Friday, which will be the end of the combat events. We are so fortunate to have all the folks who make this a successful event.
When it was all done, the results were as follows. Jeff Johnson placed 5th, with Chuck Rudner in 4th, Andy Minor in 3rd, and Bill Maywald in 2nd. Cary Minor took the 1st place championship.
Alongside were the Juniors and seniors. Anna Minor took the top senior spot and Travis Machen was the top Junior spot. One again, Ritch’s Brew supplied all the fuel.
Tomorrow we start F2D Fast Combat. It will be another exciting day of Control Line Combat at the Nats!
