The fifth day of the AMA Indoor Nats, July 5, was the hottest outside with a high of 87° Fahrenheit. Indoors, there was more thermal activity than noted on previous days, and with the exception of Kang Lee’s ninth-round World Cup flight, the best times were posted between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
The final day of the Tagliafico World Cup concluded with a few position swaps. Most notably, Arend Borst bettered his backup time, moving him into second place. Shortly thereafter, Kang Lee landed a 29:20, moving him into second place and bumping Arend Borst into third.
